Yes it only needs a freshening he told me. But as mentioned the oil pan is different and I would like to get a new one that fits our car so I won't have to use the old one.
I'm getting ready to rebuild the HP 440 in my '70 convertible. @david hill is doing the work, and I think this is the cam we will use:
Parts Lookup - Melling CL-MTD-2
David has had excellent results using this "RV" type cam even with a 2.76 gear.
Following are some more specific pictures to the subject that I took this morning. These show a 15"x7" M-body wheel with the three types of trim rings:

Gracious acceptance. Dignified. Understated. :poke:
Unlike my friend here. I still like her though -- from" Gidget" till now were both senior citizens (she's way older though):)
If that engine is what it is supposed to be, it should have the better tri-metal bearings, windage tray, and moly-channel compression rings. Possibly a double-roller timing chain? Hopefully, it will just need a freshening!
Great find,

So, I have a 1970 383/727 out of an Arizona police pursuit car with 34k miles which will go in our 67 Newport Custom. In that regard I wonder if there are any aftermarket oil pans that will fit our car since the shape is different from what's on it now.

The 413 was always a respectable motor. With a modern-era cam rather than the ones it usually came with back then, better-flowing heads (as to ports rather than valve sizes), and better intakes, The "got to be step-child" RB motor can build credible power. Not unlike a 327 compared to a 350...
Good morning everyone,
I'm finishing up restoring the engine on my 1959 Dodge Coronet. Before I drop the engine in the car I need to fix the drum style parking brake on the back of the Powerflight transmission. The reason is that it does not have really any travel when pulling the parking...
Not on fender tag but on broadcast sheet IF FACTORY installed.
My 68 Newport has dealer intalled rear defoggor, rear speaker and fader button which are not on the broadcast sheet. Just an example.
Depending on the model, the light group package may vary.
Typically the ignition key light was...
And in the event anyone is following this thread, but doesn’t play…. This was my logic behind guessing the Milford Proving Grounds based on you clues.

Thanks for the game. I have zero idea on how to use mapping tools to solve the problem and really don’t want to learn.
I’m enjoying the history and have no problem remaining under my rock. ;^)
I have received another batch of machined wiper cams. I am now able to supply them at 125$ Canadian including shipping to most countries in the world. 1978 c bodies with intermittent wipers only!
I am honored to received such a prestigious award! I’ll put this in the trophy case along side my Dude from a while back.
Thanks again @amazinblue82. Until the next one.
Would the light package be on the fender tag?
If your car has the map light, glove box light and trunk light, does that mean you have the light package? Or would you also need to have an engine bay light? Did all cars have ignition-key light (dash-mount) ?
Were the courtesy lights...
