That pulley on the A/C compressor looks like it l belongs on a slant 6, IMO.

I need to have the carrier bearing repaired on my 1963 Imperial. For removal, do I start at the rear end and remove that universal joint first? Then remove the carrier bearing? Will the whole unit pull out of the transmission at that point? I probably should replace all three universal...

Before you remove the shaft, check the bushing. Grab the yoke and check how much play you have.
