    So after much measuring, getting the rear sill exactly level only moved the left side up by about 1/8", leaving much of the original weld holes exposed. Since I had to fab about half of the tub from scratch, it appears I mounted it slightly high. Not ideal but little I can do about it now.

    Yes the tires are old and will need new in the future. The car so far is just a trailer queen with very little road travel.

    Checked the '55-'58 parts book and it shows the same one for '58 DeSoto and Chrysler and a different one for Imperial. None for Plymouth or Dodge.

    In the early days of transmission flush machines, many were "manual", where the operator had to modulate the INPUT of fresh fluid to compensate for the OUTPUT of old fluid. LEST the transmission pump run dry! Which could compromise its lifespan. Some people were better at modulating the flow...

    I think you would only need to disconnect 1 line. And have an assistant cut the engine when you notice no more oil is being dumped.

    I have heard that mentioned earlier, that would be ideal! Unhook both lines, drain radiator tank at the same time. Wonder if that would work without damaging the pump.

    Not that I've ever tried it, but I've read that disconnecting one of the trans cooler lines at the rad and dumping it into a pail while the engine is running in neutral is the clean way to drain the transmission. I presume this also drains the TC?
