Finally done, new valve steam seals and spark plugs (Champion 63, RJ14YC). I only can work on my car in the evenings. If I would press the old seals between my fingers the would break apart in pieces. Ohh it was time for that job. I have to tighten the plugs of the left bank, put the rocker arm...

NOT MINE Chrysler New Yorker 73 Switzerland

Well some american dudes put 8x15 Barracuda Ralley wheels on my NYB. It's ok for me because the factory wheels would have been to small for me, but I never would have bought them by myself. Looks pretty good l, but I've been asked several times which kind of (Chevrolet or Cadillac) muscle car...

NOT MINE Chrysler New Yorker 73 Switzerland

I think this is a historically grown habit. Many cars in the former times came with plain steel wheels, no dish covers. Only luxury cars maybe had aluminium wheels. So the luxury was to put this alu wheels on regular cars. And like there are no or not many aluminium wheels for c body we keep it...

Hello from germany / 440 New Yorker

Good Morning (in central europe), why is this recommended? I never did it to any of my old cars. I trust the old stuff from the 70s more than new repro stuff from CN.

Hello from germany / 440 New Yorker

I really like this book. Doing the valve steam seals. Needed 2 hrs to prepare everything and get the first 2 out. Hard work but now I know how to do it faster/better. The old ones are HARD as rocks.

NOT MINE 1973 New Yorker Brougham 2dr coupe in Germany (FQ5, white buckets)

Take a close look at the engine bay, they did something to the ignition...?! Most cars imported and running in Germany, Sweden or Finland will be in very very good condition and very well maintained! I think for many cars it would be a good deal to buy them back home.

To add something to this thread: @ayilar mentioned to me that this car seems to be kind of special. A 1970 Polara Brougham. He said there were no Polaras with that option, only Monaco Broughams for Canada. The seller was kind enough to send me the tag! So let's say hello to DL43L0D 287822 D -...

What are the differences? Did they really made huge changes to the heater box? I thought the main issue is with or without AC.
