It's a shame we didn't meet today Manuel. I was driving my 300L in the hills on the right bank of the Rhine between 2 and 3 p.m. Unfortunately I only met 3 Chevys, 5 FIAT Topolinos and a Jaguar MK 2 ;)

I'll driving around Höhr-Grenzhausen today ~4-6 pm. I have to move the Chrysler and my Opel Commodore, clean them up and store them because i'am on a driving ban for a month starting from wednesday :D...

I'll need your help Mopar friends:
How fast are these 440 Low performance engines wear down these AC Delco 7 spark plugs? Here cylinder 6. About 1400 MLS.

Seems like the plug went down in the middle??!

I will first go to replace tej valley pan than change all plugs!! Which ones would you recommend to me?

After beeing kind of shocked about the plugs I will buy champion 63...if nobody recommends other ones.

@david hill you may can jump in here?

I know the plugs are pretty black, the steam seals(?) are worn. The car smokes blue when taking your foot of the accelerator pedal. I have this on my list for this winter.

I think it's wrong, that I could take this 4 screws out by hand? Leaking...

Does this socket gasket fit??

Time for a new valley pan.

Carb first time out after ~52 years. Looks pretty good.

Why did you pull the intake? Your carb is running too rich and best to double check that carb base gasket that it does not interfere with the carb flap operation. Your main body float wells might be leaking fuel. Fill the carb with fuel and let sit over night or might be just an hour depending on how bad the leak is, on a sheet of paper. The plugs I used in Tux are Autolite Platinum AP85, I went with the platinum because it's such a pain to swap out plugs in the Imperial. What is your initial timing set at, you may need more initial advance, that will allow you to reduce your curb idle adjustment

Wheels are 15"x8 Barracuda Sport... don't know it exactly anymore. Milestar Grandland 235/80/15" from what I remember.

I pulled the intake to change the valley pan because I didn't wanted to trust in the point that a 52y old pan is still ok. Also going to install a oil pressure sender beside the port of the original one and couldn't get the plug out with intake in it.

And I wanted to clean the intake, check the plugs like I do every end of season, change the oil, reseal the carb but it seems like the problem where only the 4 lose bolts that hold it down an the old spacer to the intake...but I'll definitely do the test you recommend.

Yes, it's too rich, but that shouldn't let the whole middle of the plug go "down". This looks like AC Delco made faulty plugs and I had luck they didn't quit inside the engine:O

Also the first bold torn off :/...This thing thats connected to the heatcrossover. I will get it out, BUT can someone tell me what Kind of bolt (stud bolts) these are?

I really like this book.
Doing the valve steam seals.

Needed 2 hrs to prepare everything and get the first 2 out. Hard work but now I know how to do it faster/better. The old ones are HARD as rocks.

Good Morning (in central europe), why is this recommended? I never did it to any of my old cars. I trust the old stuff from the 70s more than new repro stuff from CN.

Good morning (6 am CET :D ).

Can i buy somewhere the correct caliper slide pins?

The old ones are worn out and one if the previous owners messed one up so I hat do get rough to get it out.

The raybesos shown above will fit perfectly in the length, BUT the upper part of the bolt/slide are ist to long :(.

I will putt in a spacer an have an close eye on this bolts.

Maybe mobile parts has the correct pins.
Here are specs from a couple of sellers. More Information for CARLSON H5017
I used the original part number and came up with same part you have. Raybestos has no specs listed, but I am sure all three venders are selling same part.
Might be that your old pins are incorrect, I don't have a set off a car to confirm.
The shoulder length should be ok being long, your pin length for pads matches the old one. The caliper rides on the shoulder. Just make sure your bushings are good and it all moves freely.

Finally done, new valve steam seals and spark plugs (Champion 63, RJ14YC). I only can work on my car in the evenings.
If I would press the old seals between my fingers the would break apart in pieces. Ohh it was time for that job.

I have to tighten the plugs of the left bank, put the rocker arm back in, proof if the engine turns smoothly and no pull rod falls out.

Then put the cover back in, put a few things together an check if the engine fires up properly...
