    For starters, what is making you think you have a bad solenoid? If the seat doesn’t move in all directions but you can hear a clicking sound for each function then I would say that the assembly needs to be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned and re-greased.

    I’d replace the rope seal with another rope seal. I can almost guarantee a lip seal will leak as much or worse…

    I was an instant fan of most of those big grunge bands or at least the ones we heard here in Detroit. Screaming Trees being one of my favorites and I still listen although not as often as back in the day. Lots of good music continues to come from the grunge roots.

    It’s possible that it got one of those junk China made orange ecu’s when the conversion from points was done. Did you convert it? Is this issue new?
