For starters, what is making you think you have a bad solenoid? If the seat doesn’t move in all directions but you can hear a clicking sound for each function then I would say that the assembly needs to be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned and re-greased.

I’d replace the rope seal with another rope seal. I can almost guarantee a lip seal will leak as much or worse…

I was an instant fan of most of those big grunge bands or at least the ones we heard here in Detroit. Screaming Trees being one of my favorites and I still listen although not as often as back in the day. Lots of good music continues to come from the grunge roots.

Well the spring project was back burnerd in favor of client work and family time but it’s been moved to the front and I’ll be back at it soon. Actually my friend and engine builder assembled it to this point so I could come and get it out of his way, it’s been quite a year…

It allows the upper seat back to recline so the passenger can lay back.
