Dave has a certain criteria, and he won't settle for something that doesn't meet it. He knows these '70-'71 Polaras better than most ever will. Dave is blunt, and calls it as he sees it. Not everyone can handle that.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but the 383-2 numbers are in line with my '66 Polara before I swapped converters.

Take the black plastic piece off, it's meant for a small block. If it still hits after that's removed, there's an adapter that's on eBay for like $16.00.

Be interesting to see how much cooler a snorkel air cleaner assembly is than the open. I use an open element in my Polara, and although it may not be the best, it's presented no issues that I notice. Maybe it worked so well because of the gaps with my universal radiator, which still cooled...

I disagree, but it's a personal taste. I love a rake on a car, always have and always will. I saw too many of them growing up in the early 80's, and it stuck with me.
