    1967 Plymouth Fury III 318

We made our maiden voyage this past weekend to a little car show at the fire house 3 miles away. It was a perfect show to get the car out for the first time. There were about 70 cars and we had beautiful weather. My son got to enter a vote for the "kids choice" award. Obviously he voted for the...

    Bleeding Brakes

I bled each wheel using the Motive Power Bleeder and adjusted the brakes following the FSM. Now we're stopping!

    Leaking fuel sending unit

@Ffranzwa did you get yours sorted out? Mine leaked this past weekend on my maiden voyage. I hadn't put over 5 gallons in it at one time yet. On the way home from the show I put in 10 gallons and it poured out. It appears I may have put the rubber seal over the sending unit as well. Do we...

Replacing or rebuilding a Federal PS pump.

@celticwarlock @Lycidias Did you have to take the reservoir off the new one to give the pump something stable to press against when you installed the pulley on the new one? or did you keep it on? Did you have to use a hydraulic press to install the pulley?

    Bleeding Brakes

Thank you all for the suggestions. Yes I'm using conventional brake fluid, not silicone based. I tried using the gravity bleed method, leaving the cap off the MC and the bleeder open for a while. They still feel like there is way too much pedal travel before the brakes engage. I'll probably...

Yes, that is how I bench bled it.

    Bleeding Brakes

I recently had everything out of the engine bay, so prior to reinstalling the Master Cylinder I bench bled it with full piston travel, dumping the fluid back into the reservoirs. Now I just tried to bleed the brakes on the car. The rears seem fine. When I got to the fronts, I topped off the...

    1967 Plymouth Fury III 318

This was the first fire. I did have two water hoses leaking. I tried using the old style pinch-type hose clamps and they leaked. I threw on what I call the regular style hose clamps on there and that stopped the leak. After that everything was smooth sailing.

Big Update post! Lost of progress since the last update. Here is the list in almost the order things were accomplished. - I fixed the window rollers in the right rear window and lubed everything well - I installed 4 new speakers and a powered subwoofer (4x10 dash speaker won’t fit) - I...

    '67 Fury Seat Trim

I found it’s home! Now I’m left with two self tapping bolts in my bag labeled “front seat”. Any idea where these go?

    '67 Fury Seat Trim

It's been way too long since I took these seats apart and apparently I didn't take good enough pictures of the disassembly. Where does the back tang of the trim go? I'm assuming it screws to the frame, but I can't picture it. Also, where do the hard plastic spacers go? Do they go between the...

    '67 Fury Headlights

I think I might be going crazy, but can someone help me understand the headlights. It was my belief that H5006 (3-prongs) was the low beam (meaning the headlight on the bottom) and H5001 (2-prongs) was the high beam (meaning the highlight on the top). In my situation, the notches on the back...
