    Yes, this issue has been alive and well on GM pickup trucks since the middle 1970s. Pins, bushings, etc. ALL replaceable items. There have been hinge rebuild kits for B-bodies for years. Probably will work on C-bodies, too, just that no demand for C-body items like there is for B-body items...

    plenty of hinge bushing kits out there (LMC, e-Bay, Year One). Not entirely c-body specific. you can add some weld and redrill the hinge if the pin wore through the bushing
