    Another Disc brake question.

The discs are much better! Drums and discs are about the same for the first stop but the discs never fade, like the drums will. They are quieter, too, although that doesn’t come into play on my 300, with the 440 six-pak and Hemi mufflers, lol. Murray Park can usually hook you up with a...

    Another Disc brake question.

I just realized that I mistyped this comment. I did not use the original master. I put on a new ‘72 disc master and used the ‘72 New Yorker proportioning valve with new lines, plumbing it correctly for the dual system. What I did reuse was the drum booster. It has always worked just fine.

    Another Disc brake question.

A minor correction: Mopar made manual-disc A bodies in the late ‘60s.

    Another Disc brake question.

If I were you, I’d get the dual-diaphragm booster. If I were me, I’d keep using the original drum master, as I still am, on my ‘66 300 that I converted to ‘72 C-body discs, in the ‘80s.

    C body HP 383 - same as B body??

Incorrect. Lots of four-barrel engines got the standard exhaust manifolds. Only HP engines got the upswept manifolds. This is true for A, B and C bodies.

For Sale Late ‘60s - Early ‘70s C-body Chrysler Parts floor mat set

I checked the backs and other than nubs to keep them in place, the only other marks are the front mat has EL 0-1774-2 and the rear mat has EL 1-1775-1. No other writing or symbols on the backs.

For Sale Late ‘60s - Early ‘70s C-body Chrysler Parts floor mat set

I’ll have to check the backs. I didn’t notice anything before but I wasn’t looking for anything, either. These have a pentastar and say “Chrysler Parts” on the front.

For Sale Late ‘60s - Early ‘70s C-body Chrysler Parts floor mat set

As far as I know, they are not factory-installed mats. I didn’t know that there was such a thing. I didn’t notice any pentastars or part numbers on the back. I don’t think that they’re reproductions, as they were in the car when the current owner bought it, in the early 80s.

For Sale Late ‘60s - Early ‘70s C-body Chrysler Parts floor mat set

One set of over-the-hump black Mopar floor mats, front and rear. They are genuine Mopar and say “Chrysler Parts” on them. They need to be cleaned. They are in excellent condition and are soft and supple, with no cracks. I found them rolled up in the trunk of a triple-black ‘73 Imperial four-door...

Imperial & C-body gathering in the Detroit area

I had a great time! I brought my ‘72 Imp and had a flawless trip with AutoTemp II and cruise. I love this car! I met lots of Mopar folks and saw many really great cars. Thanks Matt!

    Will it work? Lol

I’ve been using the original drum brake booster on my ‘66 300 that I converted to ‘72 NY discs in the 80s and so far it’s worked just fine. But everybody says it won’t…

Question about '68 Monaco/Polara AM radio PN 2649965

I’ll take your word for it and I stand corrected. Is there a difference between ‘67 and ‘68 Delco radios (non-thumbwheel)?

Question about '68 Monaco/Polara AM radio PN 2649965

1967 radios had knobs that twisted right to left. 1968 radios had thumbwheels, except for the Delco radio, which still used “normal” right-left knobs. The radios are interchangeable but the faceplates are not. ‘68 has a completely different dash layout than ‘67. You can put the ‘68 radio in a...

1971 Imperial brake parts availability questions.

The Sure Brake can be easily disabled and the brake system will still function as non-ABS. I had one and disabled it, then drove it for years with no problems- it just had normal brakes at that point. Just unplug the electrical connection to the modulator and cap the vacuum line at the intake.

'66 C-Body Kickdown/Throttle Linkage Pops off/Disconnects at Upper Bell Crank When Start Accelerate/Shift Down

Yes, the vertical rod is longer for 440 vs 383. You can screw the 383 rod all the way to the limit and it will just barely work on a 440.

727 trans pan gasket that doesn't leak??

I tried one of these, years ago, on my ‘68 Road Runner and it leaked horribly! The little sealing lines didn’t line up well with the recesses on the trans flange, so it didn’t seal at all. I don’t see how you guys get this to seal on a 727 but kudos to those who do!
