The hood on my 72 is difficult to lift and stay up. It was difficult to close so I lubed it up and it was fine last year except up by the windshield you had to push down on the hood about an inch or so just to get the close not hard pressure. Now it’s all out of whack when it goes up I’m...
Your just like the crazy cat lady hoarder.
You just love C bodies that’s all no big thing. My lack of additional space may be one of the biggest reasons I’m still married your not alone.
I’m not hating on my 400, I would just like to find & build a 440 for a hobby as a back up motor or stick it in my shelby Dakota and
Make something really stupid
I took the 2 barrel of my 72 400
Went with a TQ , headers, cleaned up
heads & a comp cam as close to the commando specs as I could...
Is the 383 really tired?
Do they ever get tired?
I know you just want the 440
In there. I know how you feel.
I’ve got a 400 & have been on the lookout
For one myself. Lol
When I got new rear springs (had too, one side broke) I felt like I was driving the thunderbolt Plymouth
It felt like the front was too low now
& needs a boost. I’m afraid to mess with
The torsions. Does anyone out there want
ease my mind about it?
I agree with the comment on checking the column for the ignition harness.
Happened to me, I used bullet connectors
Made my bypass harness about 7 inches
Long or so just enough to eliminate the burnt connector. It wouldn’t hurt to check that
before you start a fishing expedition.
If you do mess...
I thought it might pop nice with the vehicle color in that spot. Where did you score the trim rings? Are they just generic or do you need a certain kind?
Beware of angering fuselage purists here.
I don’t have a problem with it but the estate sale owners will pick you to pieces lol!
I’ve taken a beating just for suggesting
something like that & replacing my no good
hood 72 directional markers with formal ones that work. :mob:
