    Are all floors the same?

I blame myself. I should have known not to buy anything until I did the disassembly. Bought the C2C panels just from looking at the floors from under the car. When removing the interior I cranked on the seatbelt anchor bolt for the driver's side and the whole anchor crumbled and came out...

    Are all floors the same?

From what I understand, the floors are pretty much the same. The rear floor has allowance for when it's used in a 2 door. Looks like you fell into the C2C trap. Sorry.... The rear pans look like they are reversed and on the wrong sides if that helps you at all.

Quartz conversion for Clock -- 71 New Yorker

CBDY67-- I've done that many times on many cars. Thanks for the advice-- I'm sure someone will benefit from it. This one is such a nightmare to get to the clock, I don't want to have to do it again---too big a chance of messing something up or breaking something. --Yogi

I ordered the new one that John listed. I think the larger buttons won’t fit in the ashtray. Thanks for the help!

    Are all floors the same?

Hello, I'm needing to replace the whole floor pan on my 69 Newport convertible. So, of course, that means I'm looking for a donor car because no one sells a new pan. I've been told by one guy that I don't need to narrow my search to just 2-door cars. He says that I can use a floor pan...

Maybe it was original. I found this on a quick google search. Says for 64 Imperial, but looks like mine. It seems Ford used CUMO as well.

Quartz conversion for Clock -- 71 New Yorker

Oh, I definitely prefer the original, but pulling the clock to clean the points is a horrendous job---Have you taken out the cluster in one of these? My '56 Cadillac's clock can be removed by simply taking out the glovebox and 2 nuts to take the clock loose. Much Easier.

NOT MINE 1970 Imperial LeBaron 2dr (Yellow, eBay, $5k starting price)

Given it has the H53 Autotemp1 option, that alone probably affects the seller's ability to move it at any price. If it really was a 1971 model then it would not.

But then I found this on there. CUNO 12V. Was that on all of them from the factory or is this a reproduction picked up 40 years ago?

I have no idea what is in it now, just got the beast. I did notice that the wires do not fit (8.5 mm). It has a Pertonix unit under the cap and a MSD Blaster II for the coil. Idles well but no brakes so I do not know much about it.

IF you might get energetic, you can take your existing clock out, open it up, and clean the contact points in it. Just like ignition points, they get grunged with age. It's my understanding that once cleaned and freshened, they work as new. Just some thoughts, CBODY67

This is what mine looks like. I think it’s original. Nobody smoked in our family, so it was seldomly used.

Here's another anecdote: AC Delco in my Chevy Celebrity lasted over 100,000 miles. Bosch Platinum in my Oldsmobile lasted less than 20,000. I think AC Delco plugs are a very good choice.

My lawn tractor wouldn't start. 2 year old Champion plug was a total failure. Grabbed a 40 year old Champion from my grandfather's old shed and installed it, runs like a charm. Just sayin'. I think Autolite makes a good plug.
