    Auto temp 1-2

One great thing with Autotemp I is that the controller, transducer etc is located in the right kick panel area INSIDE the car. This is a much better place than in the engine compartment. If the system wont kick on, one reason for failure is vacuum leaks. Theres lots of vacuum hoses on the...

    Autotemp I blows cool

Last summer I had some trouble getting my Autotemp I in working order. The vacuum hoses was all mixed up, but I managed to get that solved thanks to pic from @vdk2010 . Rest of the system was OK. The water valve opened and close. The power servo did move and directed air to the right place...

    Front turn signals

I done some testing. Grounding the front turn signal housing makes no difference. I noticed that the hazard warning lights works just fine. I also noticed that the rear turn signals turns too fast 1-2-3 with no time to let all bulbs be turned off. The sequential turn signals uses a motor with...

    Auto temp 2 :(

Thanks, I have never seen that system. I think Autotemp I is quite a nice system. The servo/ coolant combo in the version II seems not like a good combination. Is it possible to get a new amplifier or to have it rebulit?

    A/C Compressor Clutch Seal Replacement

Interesting tread! I have some gas, R12 I assume, in my RV2 compressor. I dont think its that much gas because if I energize the clutch, the compressor deponent cool. One thing worries me. The compressor is much easier to turn by hand than a GM A6 with the right amount of gas. Could it be that...

    ETR valve

I have the older Autotemp I, you have the never Autotemp II. The RV2 compresor that Imperial uses has an ETR valve, manual AC (non autotemp cards) uses an EPR valve. I think that if you rebuild the compressor you remove the valve and let the clutch cykle. The EPR/ETR valve is used to control the...

    ETR valve

I managed to find the connector to the ETR valve/solenoid thanks to the excellent documentation @vdk2010 did! The pic here is from his documentation. Its a tiny connector, almost hidden when the compressor is mounted in the car. I had to remove the air cleaner to find it. When I tested the...
