(Another) 383 2 bbl to 4 bbl conversion thread, anyone got a parts list?

Wahoo, everything is installed! Was very nervous because I had to crank it for about 30 secs before fuel started going into the carby, but it roared to life. Adjusted timing to 8° BTDC as per the instructions that came with Rick's electronic distributor, still ran like ***, so I tweaked the...

Lol. These guys were clearly 30 years ahead of their time. Apparently it was a conglomerate, merged from Electricity Meter Manufacturing Co Pty Ltd, and New System Telephones Pty Ltd. The name was an acronym of Electricity Meter & Allied Industries Ltd. Apparently they were big enough that at...

If the metal is as good as it looks, that’s a real find. Make sure you grab that front valance sitting on the trunk opening, even dented up they are hard to find.

1968 Chrysler 300 Conv. Cross Bows

It’s been too long from disassembly to remember the original shape and function of the convertible frame. Mine has the front header and two cross bows behind. Front header is missing in photo. In trying to find examples on YouTube, most had three crossbow, albeit GM examples. Would anybody...

    Ammeter bypass

To follow up on this subject a bit, as a result of a recent self-proclaimed Mopar expert YouTuber promotion of this by-pass as making the original system “safe”, without any mention of the added risk, I have posted some demonstration videos about this “shunt wire” by-pass and some other related...

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

Nice looking car. I see no factory rear speaker fader knob, so the car did not come with a rear speaker (only one on the rh side) from the factory. Added rear speakers probably for the added sound system item under the dash? CBODY67

Can shocks with springs affect ride height?

Yes, the rear end might be .25" too high at the rear wheel well, BUT the front end is too low, which makes it look even higher.

Heater control cable in engine compartment

That car still has the OEM valve on it. One difference is that the cable goes into a spring clip that is a friction-fit, which goes over the stud out of the valve, which opens and closes the valve. On that car, the heater cable is a two-piece affair, rather than one piece as suspected. There...

Can shocks with springs affect ride height?

We had them on our '71 Mercury Marquis. It raised the rear some. Maybe 1/2 inch. Not much, but noticeable. I thought they improved the ride as well, especially when it was all loaded up. If those leaf springs are not original then maybe that's got more to do with the ride height than the...

WANTED WTB 15" Mopar Steel Wheels

I have a full set. I was wondering what the significance, or application was. I don't believe they are rare or valuable, but definitely different. Maybe more load rating?
