    We've lost Locumob - Scott.

I just read this news on For Trucks only. Very sorry for your loss Wyatt. I never had the opportunity to meet Scott in person, but we chatted here and on For Trucks only. I did call and chat with him a couple of years ago when he had a modern car question, he PM'd me and asked me to call him...

    Got a question guys

Magnum 500s and Chrysler-used disc brakes do not mix, especially in 14" diameters. The issue is not specifically the rim diameter, but how the backside of the wheel is shaped related to disc brake caliper clearance. In many cases, this is why Chrysler put 15" wheels with the factory front disc...

77 Newport (first car). Radiator leak

Yes, copper/brass radiators are about tripled or quadrupled what I used to buy 26" Modine 332s for in the later 1970s. Just a few dollars more than a radiator shop "clean out and re-solder", which was about $200.00 back then. For a few dollars more, I got a complete new OEM-spec radiator in...

    Trailer/tow hitch

Yes, the A35 was available and included many HD items for the car to better handle (and live through) the HD towing experiences. Dealer ordered the A35 car. When it arrived, customer purchased car. Car then taken to a hitch provider for hitch and wiring installation. The pictures of hitches...

    Front Bench Seat Bottom "Firmer"?

I have moved several of the seats in my cars rearward by relocating or fabricating new mounts. Just did my elcamino a couple months ago. In a collision I'm pretty sure the seat belt is what holds the seat in place. That is if your wearing it... I remember when my wife was yanking a cherry tree...

    Got a question guys

Following this thread. I want similar wheels for my 68 300. I tried a set of magnum 500s that I thought would fit, but the hit the bud disc cylinders I have on the front wheels. Back went the steelies and wheel covers. Please post an update if you buy these.

    Front Bench Seat Bottom "Firmer"?

:D:D Trying to make bucketseats out of a bench. My concern is, if that was done intentionally, because of a taller than average driver, would the seat perform properly - stay locked in place - in a moderate front or rear collision?

    Got a question guys

That issue is probably related to the fact that "Sport Fury" per se is not in their model database, but normal "Fury III" is. It didn't find your model, so they don't fit, even though the two versions are the same car. I used to run into similar issues on some Rock Auto searches. Same part...

What are you working on today??

I started working on Colorado Saturday. I hit a deer in November with it. My insurance company totaled it and I bought it back. I bought a hood, bumper, grill and lights from one yard, a fender from another yard, a radiator and condenser from one of my suppliers. I got the radiator and condenser...

The 15x7 5x4.50 4.0" Bkspc are the same bkspc as the 17x7s on that car. I've been looking at the 15x7s, too, for a good while. I have seen the 15x7s on 1970 B-bodies and they look good, as to spacing in the rear wheel wells, laterally. The repro 15x7 Magnum 500s can be had in 15x7 with 4.25"...

77 Newport (first car). Radiator leak

Trust me, leaking radiator needs replaced! Get what you want, original or aftermarket aluminum! It's money well spent! I watch my poor dad when I was a kid fix a leaky radiator and two days later fix another leak. And then another and another. I told myself then, pay the price for a new radiator...
