77 Newport (first car). Radiator leak

It's very simple to keep the aluminum radiators healthy and lasting a very long time. Buy some pure zinc plates and drop one in the top radiator tank. It will desolve, protecting the radiator. It's too big to get sucked into the top hose and even if it does, the thermostat will stop it from...

I never see anything like that. Do some of you not have your pop up ad blockers activated?

(not mine) Dodge motorhome with 440 Near Grand Rapids, MI

One more thing to keep in mind. Some Dodge MH's had industrial heads, intake and water pump. If you get one of them you will probably only be able to use the short block. Some people will also tell you that 70's MH had 6 pack rods, while I can not say if this is true or not I have never seen one.

    Remember when?

The Invisible Monster still ranks high with Jonny Quest fans today. I think because it scared so many of us when we were kids it left a lasting impression. The storyline and the energy monster were loosely based on the Energy “Monster from the Id” of the classic Science Fiction film “Forbidden...

2K? With water damage. If you have ever had to dismantle a MH you will be wanting the seller to pay you. I have done it 3 times to score a 440 for free and every time I think was it worth it? The best I did was a mid 70's that only had 30K on the ticker, that was nice because all I did was put...

    Ads are effectively irritating

You must not be posting much here. You should have had to click down the pop ups at least three times after they'd blocked your view, to type that post. This paragraph took me five click downs. It is annoying.

Ya, I really want to swap one of our GT350 twin turbo setups into a early/mid 60s ranchero with proper suspension and such....just so much time and money to do it like I want.

I'd buy that, Kyle, but shipping will kill its value. Are you coming to Carlisle this summer?

How did the factory paint these pieces?

The New Yorker badge in your first post is anodized and not plated. Simplified, electroplating basically coats the part with another metal, and anodizing brings the oxides in the metal to the surface of the metal. The "gold" in anodizing is a dye color and not real gold. Here's some reading...
