As you can see from the image you posted, the Custom had Fury 1 door cards but Fury 2 seat pattern.

    1971 Plymouth Fury Custom

Fuselage.de does list a link to the custom in the 3rd paragraph, says it came about in May '71, slotted between Fury I and II, with paisley interior.

    Brake system overhaul - '71

Raybestus continues to go downhill with their wheel cylinder kit #WK491 now having bad parts: New kit on the left, older kit on the right: Note the "Made in CHINA" now on the box on left. New kit parts. The boots don't fit - too big ID and too flat. Older kit: parts are an exact...

    1971 Plymouth Fury Custom

The Custom was a mid year economy special based on the Fury 1 and all had the paisley interior. All production figures are lumped in with the Fury 1 so I estimate around 3k sold. You can see the sales lit at www.fuselage.de

    Fury III AC delete

You might need to retain the a/c evaporator core in its place in order to maintain the dash vent functions for ventilation? Otherwise, cap the lines and remove all of the compressor items from the motor. Might need some non-a/c pulleys? Just thinking, CBODY67

    Power Brake Booster Upgrade Question

The stock 64 New Yorker single diaphragm booster works very good with a 67 New Yorker disc brake master cylinder on my 64 New Yorker with 79 Cordoba disc/spindle/caliper conversion. I also changed the rear wheel cylinder to smaller diameter cylinders and kept the rear drums. I'm not having a...

    Fury III AC delete

Hi all, My 70 Fury convertible has AC, but it doesn't function, and I'm not interested in spending the money to get it working again. I plan to remove the AC system, but I wonder if I will have any issues not having it attached to the car. Im in the process of a heater box rebuild so I figure...

    1971 Plymouth Fury Custom

Do you have the link, and the code? I do not see that interior either in the Color & Trim Book as seen on the Hamtramck Registry or in the brochure as seen on Fuselage.de (and, for that matter, I don't see a "Custom" model listed in either). The pattern on yours matches the front bench of the...

    1971 Plymouth Fury Custom

I'm sure there were many "Spring Specials, White Hat specials, regional specials, hey, let's make up a catchy thing because we need to move some more units specials," than I can think of. It wouldn't be unlikely for a run of similar cars with a non standard options grouping being made as a sales...

    1971 Plymouth Fury Custom

@The Rum Cove -- what I find especially interesting in your tag is the interior code. I see D2XA. XA means charcoal interior, which is clearly what I see here. But D2 is not an interior code that I see in the Plymouth sales brochures, and the paisley fabric that I see in your photos was not...

Black flat truck bed liner paint overlaid with gloss black paisley pattern stenciled application is the plan to match the interior.

Very cool, I hope I hear more about the build sheet since I'm not a code breaker. I have inspection stickers giving me owner number two and three. The guy I bought it off was a really nice fella. A hairy good ol' boy you might say. He carried a dog around in the back seat (the last dog that will...

    1971 Plymouth Fury Custom

Looks like the first owner was Mr. Dennis Donahue, from 316 Carbon City Rd in Morganton NC. That information matches what can be found on the web. According to an old telephone directory, Mr. Donahue owned the Donahue Animal Clinic -- which might explain why the building at that address looks...
