1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

I saw in your post that part of the MASS requirements for the 1967 model cars and the hazard lights are one of them. Thanks Big_John for that. The inspection guy did indeed do me a favor and I am sure that he is counting on me to correct this. I have been getting inspections there since 1958 and...

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

I'm not completely sure of this but I always thought that if the car was originally equipped from the factory with things like hazard lights, seat belts etc, then the state inspection would require said items to be present and functional to pass. I know that in 1968, the Plymouth Fury's and I...

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

I was able to locate my flasher connector but there was no flasher in it. As I said earlier it has been ages since I used them and I now think I may have robbed that flasher for the signal lights- a little brain freeze going here I guess. I tested the connector and I have battery voltage there...

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

Agility challenged, I am afraid I fall into that category but I can get under the dashboard; it just takes a bit longer. Your diagram illustrates a good starting point in identifying the hot wire feeding the flasher. Power there will prove that the system is okay to that point. Thank you. John

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

Thank you SportFury70 for your input here and offer. I actually found another switch buried in my stash and hopefully I can get at least this one or the original switch in the car to work. These switches don't get used that often and due to their age, they are probably in need of cleaning. My...

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

Thank you all for the helpful tips. I will be picking up a new flasher very soon. I remember for my turn signal flasher, I bought one that didn't last very long so I found another type that was clear rather the metal one I had before. The clear flasher has held up well and I believe I got it...

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

Thanks mrfury68. I'll get under the dash (not as easy for me as it once was) and add or replace the other flasher. If need be I'll pull out the ashtray for easier access John Good point. I'll try that. The switch does seem a little tight.

1967 Plymouth fury III hazard light question??

I took my Fury for its annual safety inspection today and the inspector passed it but mentioned that my hazard flasher lights were not working. He was cool and told me to get them working but didn't reject me. The lights haven't worked in a long time but I want to find the problem and fix them...

I forget to ask if anyone has treated their windshield with Rain X and if the wiper action is smoother afterwards?

    wiper blade help

I trimmed the new Anco blades to fit my Plymouth and they seem to be fine. I wet the windshield down with my hose and the wipers worked very nicely. I wanted to retain my original wiper arms and I was able to do so  Thank you guys again for your help and tips. John

    wiper blade help

Thanks to all for your help. I ordered the Anco blades from Rock Auto that bnz 84 posted and they came this morning. I paired them with the ones on the car and they can be trimmed to match and I'm sure it will be fine. Cheers. John

    wiper blade help

I am in need of windshield wiper blades for my 1967 Fury III convertible. The blades are 18 " and I would really like to get refill blades and keep the existing arms but not having much luck finding any. If need be, I will get the pieces that snap onto the arm; I just want be certain that I get...

Checking/adjusting bands at every fluid change?

I probably shouldn't say anything because I may jinx my transmission but the 727 in my '67 Fury III convertible has gone just under 500,000. ( the car has 647,000, miles to date). This trans was attached to the 2nd 318 engine I put in in 1983 and I have changed the filter and fluid several...

1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

Good suggestion. I will do that. I bought these tires because they offered whitewalls. I think these older vintage cars from the past look sharp with the whitewalls but on my Fury, I like the small whitewall instead of the large ones that look better on the '30's through '50's gems.

1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

Thanks to all for the informative posts here. Although I don't take my Fury on very many long trips anymore, I like to drive it at least twice a week, especially with top down days getting a little closer:thumbsup:. John R

1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

I had my '67 Fury III convertible front end alignment done and the car tracks better which is nice. The shop rotated the tires for me and inflated the tires to 43 pounds of air and now the car seems to ride harder than before. I am using Hankook 75R 14" whitewalls and am wondering if I could let...

    Motor mounts

As was stated earlier, for my '67 Fury anyway, the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder stub frames are the same except for the bracket placement for the engine mounts on the front cross member. In my situation, the best frame I have is from a Fury I with 6 cylinder brackets. Luckily I have a 318 frame...

Thank you RGORHAM for the kind words. I do what I can but when bitter cold sets in, work ceases. Once the spring comes, I am hoping to get to work more steadily. John
