    Ads are effectively irritating

You're still running your own hardware and housing it too? I thought everyone had moved their hosting to the cloud (i.e., a remote server). All businesses that I've worked with as a programmer/consultant in the last ten years have done so.

Pretty sure one of the selling points of a gold membership is no ads...it's not a bad thing to spend money on - goes to keeping the site up, and you get no ads so a win-win really, especially if the information here has helped with your own car (and no doubt it has for many).

    1969 polara noisy engine fan

@polarnj - I am just seeing this now. Can you post the NAPA part number for the clutch? My car has a new fan clutch on it, and yes, it sounds like a school bus. Runs nice and cool, but LOUD! Thanks!

    Ads are effectively irritating

Sorry, got to post again. The annoying popup ads are happening of multiple sites I go to besides FCBO. I'm sure it's the all powerful OZ watching over us! All I can say that for whatever reason, becoming a good member here got rid of the annoying popup ads on this site. And at a measley 11¢ per...

WANTED NOS OEM rear trans mount for 69-78 727

This is the spool-mount type, right? Energy Suspension and some others make (or they did, anyway) a polyurethane version that works nicely. Unlike suspension bushings, it should not give you any squeak issues.

NOT MINE 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury GT 2 door $35,000 · Los Angeles, CA

Ordinarily I agree with you, but this is a project car, not a basket case - not by a long shot. It is in a bad state for selling, yes, with the type of assembly work needed (dashboard is probably the least desired assembly work for most of us) and for the asking price. So of course it needs...

(Another) 383 2 bbl to 4 bbl conversion thread, anyone got a parts list?

Hi edbods Like yours, I’m staying stock too- a LOT better if the day ever comes to sell. Or if there’s kids that are interested they’ll be mighty glad it’s stock so they can appreciate it also. I would love to put on the 2.5 inch exhaust, and other bits, but it gets back to the earlier...

NOT MINE 1961 Chrysler 300 G 2 DR HT $19,200 Listed 52 minutes ago in Tucson, AZ

@marty mopar and @azblackhemi you guys are fools. Sellers of such quality cars don't accept cash nor money orders as that's how *they* get scammed. When I contacted the seller he was very helpful and grateful for my inquiry, and has been very helpful in getting me to set up a wire transfer. I...

NOT MINE 1977-chrysler-new-yorker-brougham with 17,000 Miles!

I feel his reserve at $25K is too high since it was predicated on him getting back what he invested in the car. Since when does one get back what they invested in a car especially if they go above what the car is actually worth? Then again he is a dealer which explains his thinking.
