NOT MINE 1972 Newport $800 New Orleans, LA

Did anyone get more pictures of the car? Or any other info? If it was in Orleans for an extended period of time I would worry about a little rust but if it came from ole Cali recently, maybe not.

    1969 polara noisy engine fan

All else being equal, a HD thermostatic fan clutch will cause more fan noise than a standard thermo clutch as the fan slip is lower in the HD versions thus the fan spins faster. The HD clutch may transition from “freewheeling” to engaged quicker than a std clutch.

(Another) 383 2 bbl to 4 bbl conversion thread, anyone got a parts list?

Actually, thinking about this some more...you might be able to get away with it. I was worried that the vertical rod with the little ball socket might be too off axis, but as long as it doesn't rub against anything too hard, it should be right. I just don't know how much length it has or whether...

Hey, haven't done much since it's so cold outside, got a new cap and rotor coming, but before I do... Couldn't help but notice that my dist cap has an extra hole/bump in the middle with a rubber cap on top, is that correct for the year, or is it the wrong cap?

I think you need a Carter AFB size carb...they have a smaller footprint than the AVS/AVS2 size carbs

Can't Be Too Careful - Sad Day!

That's too bad. At the end of the day, it's a car and the people involved are still with us. When I taught my kids to drive, I always told them to never depend on someone turning because their signal is on. I also told them to be careful when they do signal as some people will assume you...

    The Hurst Registry

This update is merely a correction of a few VINs that I placed out of correct numerical order and a really stupid partial duplicate of David Hill's #228755. I've removed the yellow and lavender highlights, otherwise nothing new.

Yeah........Sad news for sure! With all the idiots out there texting and otherwise not paying attention to what they are doing these days, everyone is at risk. Thankfully he didn't get totaled along with his car.
