727 transmissions are tough. So something is wrong. Make sure the kickdown linkage is working correctly and fluid is flowing threw the lines and cooler without restriction. I still have the original 727 in my Cummins with 250k+ miles on the beast! Of course it's getting close to time for a rebuild.

Concentrate on the radiator and the carb first! It will be drivable and pretty reliable after that. Radiator shop is usually (not always) cheaper than a new radiator. Are the tanks in decent shape so a re-core is possible? Avoid cheapo aluminum radiators if you go that route. That 2210 is so...
