Fury III AC delete

Hi all,
My 70 Fury convertible has AC, but it doesn't function, and I'm not interested in spending the money to get it working again.
I plan to remove the AC system, but I wonder if I will have any issues not having it attached to the car. Im in the process of a heater box rebuild so I figure this is a good time to do it.
Will connecting just the heater lines to the firewall and leaving the AC lines capped off cause any issues in the heater box under the dash?
I'm grasping a bit because I can't think of anything bad that could happen, but I'm here for some expert opinions. :)

You might need to retain the a/c evaporator core in its place in order to maintain the dash vent functions for ventilation? Otherwise, cap the lines and remove all of the compressor items from the motor. Might need some non-a/c pulleys?

I have a 1970 Fury III Convertible original AC. Capping AC lines has no effect on function of heater box. Vacuum lines to vacuum diaphragms control the dampers that make the heater box and the rest of the system work.

I think you oughtta at least check it out to see....
I've checked out parts of it. I know the compressor is bad because the hoses that connect to it haven't been tightened for a long time. Stuck my endoscope camera in there, full of rust. The condenser also has all least one big leak where the inlet connects, big crack like the hose got yanked hard. I also believe the clutch is bad, tried to energize it and got nothing.
I really wanted to get it running, but I have bigger issues that need to get fixed first. If I had a bigger budget... But isn't that always the case. :)
