old and new Thermostat tests with questions

I too live in the desert and run 180°F thermostats. If I had no choice and had to use one of the two in your original post, I'd go with the old one even if it is "160°F" as it will most likely be more reliable. Mopar designed some excellent cooling systems (radiators, fan shroud, thermal clutch...

Pair of 1968 300's tag decode

So R doesn't always code for radio? X for glass tinting? PNT color codes are not consistent across plants? Well, for codes like body belt moulding (3-0) and wheel lip moulding (7-8) I don't have those codes on my 67 Monaco tag, yet I do have the 1" wide chrome body belt side trim and the...

    Electronic ignition conversion tips

Mopar or no car! If I wanted a car that broke down all the time and I was constantly fixing, I would own a Chevy! HEI Pooh! I've had good luck with the Mancini kit.

    1971 300

Call me crazy (aren't all of us Mopar Nuts a little?), but I think it's re-buildable! Looks a lot better than some of the E-Bodies people are piecing back together! Sure it wouldn't be worth as much an an E-Body, but this hobby is more a passion of love than anything else. I've got eight (8)...

    Steering wheel

Somebody wanted to charge you $3000 to restore it? So glad you didn't opt for some bad-looking aftermarket steering wheel. Seems like SO many guys swap out the cool OEM wheel. I would never do that.

    My Son's Guitar

Having a 21 year old son myself who plays the guitar and owns over half a dozen, this is definitely a cool guitar, tribute and gift! P.S. no one should have to bury their children. My sincere condolences on that.

What the hell is the 1974 Dodge Polara RT ?

The Dodge Polara RT (slant six), and Dodge GTX (318 v8) and Dodge Coronado (4 door version)from Argentina, are A bodies. If you don't like the rectangular headlights, the same body was used in Spain as the Dodge 3700. But the 3700 was only offered as a 4 door.

What the hell is the 1974 Dodge Polara RT ?

I'm partial to four 5 1/2" headlights for some reason myself!

My new `67 Imperial Crown Coupe!

Trans is in and I think tomorrow the engine should be in place too, after which I can see what it’s going to take to use the HP manifolds.
