I was going to suggest maybe a leak around a worn shaft of exhaust manifold heat control valve . But it sounds like you found the culprit.

I've been looking at the BendPak GP-7LC. Two post lift. Made for ceilings as low as 10'. Concrete thickness min 4.25". Wish the posts were offset to ease door opening tho.

The center speaker grille goes to '67-'69 300's. Yep, that perforated part is thin and easily bent.

Great looking dash. Has the odometer rolled over? 100K+ miles seems like a lot. Has engine been rebuilt?

Sounds like they have problems with turn around time for their door panels, and need to step up their game there.

I've also recently had unexpected good success with SMS and quick turn around for seat material for the 300. They even made windlace for door opening out of same material.

I am detailing the engine compartment of my '68 300. I'd like to clean up the alternator housing without taking it apart if possible. It works fine. Does anyone have a recipe that worked well for them? Thanks.
