New member intro – question about 1973 Monaco exposed quad headlight cars

Hi all, New member here. I just joined FCBO while trying to track down solid photo documentation and info on 1973 Dodge Monaco models equipped with exposed quad headlights (non-concealed headlamp fascia). Most references and surviving photos seem to focus on the Monaco Brougham, which of...

    Epic Whoops thread.

Was this from the same airport?, that’s a shame that happened, he was a good ole boy. I think it’s a blessing the family was together.

    WANTED HP exhaust manifold.

I’m thinking I’m going to have to change the valve cover on that side, mine has the plug wire bracket, I don’t think will clear the manifold. I had HP’s on my first 68, they were on it when I got. I had to get the HP plugs wires for my other 300, is that you’re running on yours?

    power brakes

I'm sure the factory did their due diligence when they developed your system. According to the formula designed for power assisted brakes, your booster creates 673 lbs of pressure. The master cylinder also has a formula but I don't have that handy. Apparently the 9.5 single is sufficient with...

    AUCTION RESULTS

I noticed at cruise nights, this past season, more “for sale” signs than ever. Especially the 50s cars. Still asking big money, but with little interest. Also I have been seeing more 80s cars, like Monte Carlo SS and Olds Cutlass.

If you have a 4 pin ballast resistor, that's a classic failed ballast resistor symptom.

    Holley 2bbl list/ series numbers

I was going to order an accelerator pump and gasket kit. I wrongly suspected that the 2bbl carbs were the same for a long time which derailed me a couple times as another car I had bought came with a car kit in the extras but that was for a 73 small block car. It looks like they got away from...

    AUCTION RESULTS

Could be some problems, could be a clone and they didn't say in the write up. Anything's possible. There are enough buyers there that if that was a real numbers match 4 speed TA it would not have gone that cheap.
