    We have lost Rip

I got the terrible news this morning that our friend @Ripinator had passed to the other side. He had been valiantly battling cancer for over a year, but things went south last week and he left yesterday, with his beloved of many decades at his side and surrounded by his loved ones. Rip and I...

Hideaway headlight door not functioning properly

Big_John, I actually read that thread multiple times, ordered off of the list you provided, and printed your prints off to take in the garage when I did the relay upgrade. Somewhere I found a link to the charger guy's wiring for the under dash relay as well and read the thread that they had...

8 3/4 pinion seal and rear axle collar adjuster

When you adjust the axle end play, do it when the car is cold and iirc, you should have .013-.023" end play. I've always done it by feel even though I have a dial indicator and never had an issue. Just make sure you don't get it too tight. When the axles get hot, they do expand and will close up...

    Electronic ignition conversion tips

The Pertronix system allows you to use your existing distributor which meets your request to be "discreet" which I assume means as stock looking as possible. In some cases, you can use the stock coil too. One extra wire that can be hidden in some shrink tube to the other wire for a stock single...

There is supposed to be a plastic strap that holds the shock in the compressed position to make it easy to install. Good luck.

Installation can be challenging in front. Do not cut the plastic strap until they are in position.

NOT MINE 1968 Dodge Monaco 500 440 $12k CAD / $8.3k US Red Deer Alberta

I wonder if this could be a new fad. In the toy car world one of the better versions of hot wheels is Johnny Lightning. They make "special editions" known as white lightnings. The only thing different about them compared to regular Johnny Lightnings is their white wheels.
