If a part is $500 and it is the only one in existence, even if I think it is too much it is still the cheapest one. That has always been my philosophy.

WANTED 1967 newport passenger rear window slide

I have a 1967 Chrysler Newport 2 door hardtop that has a broken rear plastic slide on the rear driver side window. I looked in the FSM and that diagrams of that are are horrible at best and unfortunately I didn't get a picture. If anyone has a better breakdown I would really appreciate it...

    Trans fluid .

"Automatic transmission fluids with little or no friction modifier (like Ford Type “F” ATF) have a very sharp clutch engagement (the clutch plates do not gradually slide to a smooth stop) with very quick (0.4-0.6 second) shift or lockup time. These shifts are harsh, and shock load the driveline...

I suspect they were badly worn to start with, which was why I resorted to the stuff. I don't plan to use it on anything I run now. More fricative fluid means.... MORE friction!! Sure! But, if you need it, there it is.

Sure, I'll concede that stuff for Fusies is harder to get. OK, if these guys earn their nickel in your opinion, I give you the Joy of doing business with them.

My new `67 Imperial Crown Coupe!

I checked the fit of the manifolds before the dismantle so I am confident there will be no issues with the steering. I’m going to have to get creative with the Auto Pilot though for sure.

And you never stopped to think that it was the type-F that wore the clutches? Because that's what I hear time and time again about type-F and torqueflites.

AND they've been in business a long time. Their prices aren't outrageous, high maybe but not stupid. Most stuff for Fuselage cars are impossible these days unless you are willing to pay you'll be sitting without a long time.

I suppose folks like Hiltop and Andy Bernbaum get enough customers to float their boats, but I refuse to pay those kind of exorbitant prices, period. I can and do get plenty NOS **** using my own search methods for no more than 1/4 of what those bloodsuckers charge. IFF they have something I...

Before having this '66 727 rebuilt by the Ancient Elves I found for the job, I ran that tranny on Walmart's Type F and Lucas, AND IT RAN FOR 2 YEARS THUS! When I got it opened, the shop youngster, a mere septuagenarian exclaimed, "The clutches were worn all down to the metal. I don't know HOW...
