So call it what it really is.Because I have to pull the part from my
inventory, box it up, print a label and bring it to FED EX.
Same here.....sold them lots of stuff over the years, but, haven't bought from them.314-971-9818 John (Hiltop Auto Parts)
He has been buying parts from me lately...Never have bought anything from him.
As far as his prices go, they are high...from what I see on the website. Nobody is forced
to buy anything from anyone. You can always reproduce a part, but it would cost a fortune
unless it is a simple thing like a plastic knob. The old car hobby can be expensive. VERY
expensive.
and from above: $ 65 + $ 11 shipping for a Fram PCV valve… That —IS— RAPE …..
My minimum charge is 20.00 for shipping. Because I have to pull the part from my
inventory, box it up, print a label and bring it to FED EX. The alternative is to drive to my
house and pick it up.
I suppose folks like Hiltop and Andy Bernbaum get enough customers to float their boats, but I refuse to pay those kind of exorbitant prices, period. I can and do get plenty NOS **** using my own search methods for no more than 1/4 of what those bloodsuckers charge. IFF they have something I REALLY can't find in the Great Elsewhere, I'll laud them then.
AND they've been in business a long time. Their prices aren't outrageous, high maybe but not stupid. Most stuff for Fuselage cars are impossible these days unless you are willing to pay you'll be sitting without a long time.
