Members we haven’t heard from in a while.

Whilst going down a rabbit-hole about AMC volcanoes vs Road Wheel caps, I saw what might be the best followup of all time. @73 T&C was working on a wagon, and @Moabion offered him a rear AC unit for the cost of shipping. (admiration #1) 73 T&C looped back 5 years later that it was installed...

    Additive to fix Torqeflite shudder?

Thanks Jakter, Since I got the car and because of this brake/vibration issue I've replaced the master cylinder, wheel cylinder on the problem side, and the rubber brake line at the drivers side rear axle that feeds both wheels. An early problem was that the rear brakes especially the drivers...

    Additive to fix Torqeflite shudder?

Well said. Too often we discard what the engineers decided simply because we don't think it matters. Maybe it doesn't matter today or next week, perhaps it matters over 30k miles from now. Yes, if you see debris- it has failed. FWIW, the last failed axle bearing I had did not show any...

1966 Polara 880: The Build So Far, or "Bring Money".

You're swapping this stub out - yes? So you're going to have to support the body. When I started I jacked my '67 Monaco front up and set blocks under the front rocker rails in front of the doors and a block under the engine cross-member and rested the car on those. I did not use cribbing. I...

    Old stuff you still use.

During the 1970's how many of you remember Quadraphonic, 4 channel, stereo systems? Still use this Sansui QRX 5500 receiver, Akai GX-280D-SS Reel to Reel tape player, and Bose 501 speakers. Back in the day, these components were the top of the line, in audio equipment.
