The first time to drive a C body.....69 New Yorker

I bought a 69 New Yorker back in 89 I think. When I got close to home, I decided to see what it had. I was power braking it,yep Sure Grip. The tire smoke was endless, finally overtook the car and I was losing sight of the road in front of me. Then I thought to myself-what if some dumbass drives...

    Additive to fix Torqeflite shudder?

When Chrysler first came out with lockup converters, they had the shudder problem. B&M used to recommend adding a little brake fluid. I've never done it, so I don't know.

Spark plug questions and spark wires.

Back in the 70's when I was driving my 68 340 Dart, I had stainless solid core plug wires. That was back before cable TV. When I drove around town, I wrecked havoc with peoples TV reception.

Spark plug questions and spark wires.

AC Delco are the worst plugs ever, IMO. I was always a Mopar guy, use NOS Champions. Back in my younger days, one of my friends had a 68 SS 396 Camaro. One spting-he had let the Camaro sit for two years. He had other cars to drive. He called me to come over to help him get it started, he had...

Bake booster to Vacuum canister hose size.

I think I have a box of the bigger vacuum hose, let me check tomorrow. I'll just send you a piece, because I know I haven't ever used any of it. I got it a long time ago. And it is the heavy wall hose.

Bake booster to Vacuum canister hose size.

Does it take the same size hose as the later stuff? The later uses 11/32" heavy wall brake booster hose.

Power brake booster for 1967 Monaco.

I would almost say you could use the one that I have as is. It was in a beautiful old mans car that he bought new and always stored in his garage. I've had it in a box in my garage for close to 30 years.

Power brake booster for 1967 Monaco.

I have a real nice Midland single diaphragm booster that was off of a 4 wheel drum 69 Fury. The car had 69,000 miles and still looks nice with the gold zinc plating. I'd take 125.00 plus shipping. I think this would be correct for your 67. Anyone that knows for sure, pipe up.

    Differential gear change?

3.23's were godd back when the speed limit was 55. Then highway driving and interstate driving are two completely different situations. Around here if you don't drive 80 on the interstate, you will get run over! Go ahead and run your 3.23's at 80 for 4 or 5 hours and see if you change your...

    Differential gear change?

I have 2.76 in several of my cars and will change the others when I get to them. They are the next best thing to having an overdrive. Any highway or interstate trip will make you happy that you changed.

Members we haven’t heard from in a while.

I talked to him a few times, that has been quite awhile back. Sorry that I don't get on here much lately. I lost my wife a couple months ago and have a lot of stuff to sort through. I only check in every few days. I think I have his phone number, if you want it.
