This portion is fortunately not the transmission cross member. The cross member is in decent shape. This is the portion next to the rocker panel. I have been soaking them for awhile, to no avail. I will likely cut the heads off the bolts, after further reflection.

Congratulations! Forty minutes drifting on snow-covered ice and you didn't get stuck. However, I'm not sure how this would work in the U.S. with liability concerns.
If the stud nuts are frozen, take a Dremel or another appropriate tool. at an angel cut down through the nut, do not cut into the threads. next spay w/ penetrating lube. This should help in mounting huts removal.
