I can understand that at 17. Did you try to haggle at all? Perhaps, 14,500 would be more appropriate for the car. The value is there at 17 in my opinion, not seeing the car.

I have a suspicion your car also has the Light Package. Could you confirm if it has the following components? Does your car have a rear speaker?

Completely agree, I wouldn't start it again until you've tried priming the engine with a drill to verify the oil pump is functioning. It could've broken the oil pump driveshaft or done something else silly. Then check for all of the lifters and pushrods being in place. Another random one...

I put a Dana in my '68, what swayed me from the 9" to Dana was if I went with the 9" I would've needed a new driveshaft. The Dana's snout was close enough that I was able to get my original 3.5" driveshaft cut down. The aftermarket definitely favors the 9" though, and starting from scratch...

If that's all that is wrong with the car I would not let that deter me from the purchase. Did you get more pictures of the car? Any factory documentation with the car?

For a 68 Chrysler/Imperial....I agree.
