New guy and my new-to-me 66 Convertible!

My next-door neighbor had one when I was quite young and I always liked that car. I do remember the soft top was in bad shape which was funny to me because it was a newer car at the time but they did drive it year round in Buffalo, New York winter weather.

78 New Yorker, I believe it’s the same color of your car I believe it’s the same as mine. I think it’s a rare color. Mine has velour gray interior. # 440. We built it and put a sniper EFI it’s a sleeper.

My car is in an upcoming movie

Cool. Mine was supposed to be in a flashback scene, set in the 70s, A Man named Otto. I don’t have the actual scene because it ended up on the cutting room floor. I was so disappointed, but here’s some pictures. They put period correct license plates and stickers on the windshield.

1978 Chrysler makes hiss sound and brakes seem soft when applying brakes

My 78 does the same thing when it’s cold however it has a built 440 with a heavy cam. I believe that’s what’s causing my issue once it’s warmed up it doesn’t do it anymore. I’m assuming low vacuum, but it doesn’t do it all the time.

Brake light switch /w cruise control fix

With this switch did your brake lights work or does it have anything to do with that?

    Cruise control

Thank you I didn’t think of that. My car has a big cam built engine so vacuum has been an issue. I also have little issue with the brakes, however, once it’s warmed up, the problem goes away with the brakes.
