    67 Fury - removing wheel studs from rear left drum?

    The correct way to do it is remove the axle and press the old studs out and press the new studs in using a press. Anything else is a compromise. You risk stripping/awakening the treads using a lug nut. to pull the studs into the axle flange.

    Take the drum off and yes, you can take them out with a hammer. Put a lug nut on the stud to not butcher the threads and save the studs for someone that may want them. Here's how I did mine Post #11 and 12 in this thread. Tool tips The stud installer makes it easier, but it can be done...
