Brag away, you don’t find stuff like that with the box and instructions all too often. I love em, they’re old school “day 2” cool. We had em on one of our cars that we sold and we currently have em on another one of our cars.

Is there an in-pan magnet to catch errant metal "dust" and such? I doubt the "gray goop" is an issue with your problem. You can find a chart in the FSM about which clutch packs/bands are applied in each gear position. Perhaps that might help figure things out? Please keep us posted on your...
