Not mine. Chrysler New Yorker 4 dr ht, second owner. BC car since 1966. Good solid body and runs well. Upholstery is good. Car is on collector plates at this time. Has been garage stored since 2018. Low mileage on rebuilt 440 CID.Torque converter seal is leaking and needs brake hydraulic repair...
I just replaced the tie rod ends, pitman arm and steering gear arm on my 66 wagon. The steering is now also very stiff. Even the new power steering pump groans with tight turning into a parking spot. In my case I think the culprit is the pitman arm mount. When torqued to spec the arm could...
Here's what I've had on my 66. Generic Mopar poverty caps and the rare original poverties with Chinese beauty rings. 15" wheels mix of original and wheel vintiques.
66 Town and Country needed all new parts for the steering bar (Thanks Craig!). Resealed leaky oil pan, new Cloyes timing chain, water pump, idler wheel and power steering pump. A lot of work, but it needed it. it.
I had the same bad shudder problem with the 66 wagon. The brake shoes on it were this brown organic material that around town worked fine but heated up bad when used at high speeds. I swapped them out for the old style metallic brake shoes, looked like crushed metal shavings. No more shudder...
Installing all new steering bar parts on the 66 wagon (thanks Craig!) I torqued the bolt that holds the pitman arm to the frame to 30 ft lbs which secured the shaft tube, but the Pitman arm movement is really tight. I had a second Moog Pitman arm (back up part) and clamped in the vice it also...
I just had my badly leaking pump for the 1966 T&C rebuilt by Lares in Cambridge Minnesota. Quoted $300 but my pump was scored and blue (they sent it to prove it), they suggested a new rebuilt for $700 which I did. What they sent looks new. I kept the little screen filter and cap from my original...
66 Town and Country - Just painted the valve covers and oil pan with Dupli-color DE1617 Ford green. It was an exact match to the original plug wires looms and other parts on the engine.
That makes sense big john, thank you. The head unit gets it's power and gound from the amp, speakers connect to the amplifier. Looks like I have more shopping to do.
Picked up a Pioneer kpx-600 off the interweb and was excited to get it hooked up in the wagon. Only problem is the deck came with two DIN plugs and no wiring diagrams. Anyone know what these plug into?
