How to adjust full throttle up shift on 727?

It’s adjusted according to the factory service manual. I’ve also checked the throttle valve to make sure it’s reaching it’s full travel at wide open throttle so I don’t have any reason to think it’s an external issue. Either something inside of the transmission is not allowing the throttle valve...

    Carb crisis?

After sitting with berrymans overnight, I fired it up, still acting a fool a couple times and cleared up. Retweaked the carb a little, let it run till cold light went off. Went on a 10 mile round trip to churches chicken and back. Wide open throttle a few times through shift points and she is...

How to adjust full throttle up shift on 727?

I'd start with the kickdown linkage. Adjust one way to fix a late shift or the other way to fix a hard shift. I don't recall which way is which. Read up on it in the Factory Service Manual The "default" has always worked for me. Alan

PLYMOUTH SPORT FURY 383 TICKING :( HELP PLEASE

They never put gaskets on the big blocks. In my experience, any time someone uses a gasket there, it fails. Like Uncle Tony or not like him.... He does a great job of explaining why you don't use one. Starts at ~5:00

WANTED WTB 1967 B/RB Valve Covers and Air Cleaner

Nope. At least not according to the ‘67 parts book. There were 2 versions of the single snorkel for the 440, w & w/out cap and thats it.

    Carb crisis?

I have the choke wide open, Texas don’t really need it, it’s not a daily driver. Fuel pump and rod both new. I probably have less than 50 miles since I got it running. It is a brand new carb also. Been doing fine until just recently and has gotten a little worse each time. In the 70’s now, I’ll...

PLYMOUTH SPORT FURY 383 TICKING :( HELP PLEASE

In my ride its the exhaust it's already diagnosed. You surprised me with the no gaskets post, will defintely give it a go if the surfaces are good. The AI stuff is obviously not to be taken seriously, but can give some suggestions on where to look. And it is getting better as we speak...

    Carb crisis?

this is an at idle situation that started with the cold weather and getting worse with ever colder conditions, that about right? I'd make sure the choke and fast idle cam is working properly. You say it seems "a little rich." If you tuned it otherwise then it could be the choke is not fully...

WANTED WTB 1967 B/RB Valve Covers and Air Cleaner

How about 1967 Imperial with the longer snorkel? And the top that accepts a pie tin. I've owned 2 of those jewels. Then 383 2bbl and 440 low horse air cleaner has one short snorkel and the top won't take a pie tin.
