How can I tell what alt I have?

More towards the slight side but noticeable. Also the turn signals make it go dimmer and brighter slightly. I was sure the relays are supposed to eliminate that

Funny mine has the relay but the lights still dim when pushing the brakes (?) It came that way, maybe the prev owner didn't do them right I dunno

Yeah I'm in a bit of a pickle here. Having the whole rear section around the window fixed, which is almost all done, and now I find out I can't put any vinyl on until i get those stupid moldings off and potentially damage the windshield. So a glass guy can come right to the body shop and take...

Yeah, probably true but my body shop guy doesn't want to take the chance of damaging the window

Thx for the info, No need to do the bottom trim, I only need to get the top one off so I can have a vinyl roof installed.

How exactly do you get them off without damaging the glass? Maybe applying a heat gun or something?

yeah, I'm not worried about the moldings as much as damaging the windshield. Can that happen if the moldings are really stuck in there? Without removing the moldings I can't put another vinyl roof on (at least I don't think so)

I hope it does change, hey you never know. Right now it's having the roof and floors fixed so I might have to wait a while

can that happen with a car with coil springs? My 71 Lemans does exactly what you describe, almost feels like the back is pulling the car back and forth. New shocks didn't help much

Yeah, I hope taking out those spring/shock things helps. I don't want to change the springs if I don't have to since it drives pretty solidly right now
