    78 Newport power steering pump

Why does it need replacing? If it's leaking it can easily be repaired ordering a seal kit. It's not hard to do.

The numbers on the pan rail will tell you something about what transmission you are running. Heaven knows what valve body is in there tho'. As a cure to no reverse lights, you might be able to simply use a different neutral safety switch (68 down?) rather than mess with pulling the pan. You'll...

It also surprises me that they would get cloth seats (B1) instead of vinyl (B2). It is not just about longevity but also about the ease of cleaning up...

It still amazes me that any municipality would spend more money on a Fury II or Fury III.

Pic request 57-59 owners - what wheels/tires are you running?

They did, but they're gone. I put them on my '67 Newport and have since sold the Newport.

Here is what the B1X9 should look like, per the ever so helpful Hamtramck Registry Library -- note the patterns and materials are different, and there is no tufted button (unlike in the car for sale): Here are some more photos showing the metal condition, speedometer, and certificate:

PM41U3D259688 should not last long at the $6.5k ask. I am just a bit puzzled by the rear seat -- it should be B1X9 per the tag. From the ad: "Retired Oklahoma Highway Patrol 1973 Plynouth Fury for sale. U-Code 440 engine Special order build car Certified police speedometer Dual spotlights 2...

What are you working on today??

Marty, we've had a pretty mild Christmas season this year. It's 50° now, but the temps are going to plummet today to the lower 20's or upper teens. From what I've noticed, the temps in TN are typically 20° to 30° warmer then IL. Franklin is about an hour from me. Nice area. My wife likes that...

New garage / shop lights, what would you recommend/use?

Yes white would help. I do have silver tin on the bottom as carsideing that maybe helps somewhat, but it seems most of my walls are covered by tools and shelves. My walls are a light tan. I don’t like dirty white walls. This is kind of my man cave/workshop, so didn’t go for the sterile white.
