2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Holley 2210 2bbl Once warm it would only run at high rpm. If at a stop light I had to put the car in neutral and Rev engine. Once at highway speed it had a rough miss, you could hear and feel it.

    Engine Stall on Tip-in

...speed screws and setting everything up like the old carburetor and it ran perfectly for two days. Now it will run rough at idle warm or cold and it will stall with a typical push of the accelerator and it will bog down when feathered. The carb is a Holley 2210 on a stock 360 with 60,000 miles.

    Engine Stall on Tip-in

...parts to make it run perfect for two days and now it runs badly again??? That really does not make sense to me at least........... The Holley 2210 has been discussed ad-nauseum on this site for the fact that if you overtighten the air cleaner wing nut holding the air cleaner in place, you...

    1973 Plymouth Fury

The Holley 2210s I've had always worked flawlessly, provided the center air cleaner stud was not tightened too much. When I put a new-from-Holley 1970-spec 2bbl on our '66 Newport (to replace the Stromberg WWC that was on it, OEM), the first trip I took in it after that (when the national speed...

2bbl carb stall out - problem solved

Its been a long time but my recollection is that the 2210 Holley 2 bbl carburetor was rated at 350 CFM. Plenty of folks think that higher CFM carburetors for a given engine size application deliver better performance but that is only the reality under high output situations. When driving...

Holley Sniper II or 4BBL Carb Upgrade?

...or 4bbl-converted engines! Yes, although they reference them to Rochester carb sizes, those carb sizes ALSO coincide with Carter BBD/Holley 2210-family/Stromberg WWC3 carb base plates . . . all of which include Chrysler Corp V-8s of many decades! When "self-learning EFI" came out it was big...

1974 Fury II - Build Tread - (First build)

...digging mine out of the woods. First you need to get it running. Get a good buildable carburetor, it's a 360 so it could either be a Holley 2210/2245 2 bbl or a Thermoquad, if it's a Holley I'd try cleaning and putting a kit in one (could be the one on the car if it's in good shape) and if...

    Cold hard starting

...to me and it operated well. Even better after I got the choke pull-off to open things up a bit quicker. But, alas, I upgraded it to a Holley 2210 to get away from the warped air horn issues (Chrysler did issue a "fix kit" for the same issueson the Holley, though). Plus the Holley got...

    Carburetor for 1966 383

...rather than the Carter BBD 1.5" (designation due to throttle bore size) 2bbl. I like the way the WWC3 ran, but when I upgraded it to a Holley 2210 2bbl (which started with the 1970 383 2bbls, so it's a drop-in replacement, other than fuel line configuration), off-idle throttle response and...

I had the problem prior to the new coil, so I have to think that is not the issue. But I will check the ballast.

Holley Sniper II or 4BBL Carb Upgrade?

Wow, a lot of info. Thanks! I saw the 2bbl option for the Sniper as well but I thought I would go with the 4bbl intake for better performance (and it just looks cool!). I can't thank y'all enough for all the great info and taking the time to share.

    WANTED Stromberg WWC 3-262 carb

...all of the time, resulting in 12mpg no matter what. To get past that, after trying several spacer air horn gaskets, I went to an OEM Holley 2210 for a '70 Chrysler 383 application. A true bolt-on situation, just get the thick OEM base gasket for best results. Been there, done that. Better...

...the pcv tap is on the back center of the carb throttle body. Only LA Chrysler I have is an '80 360 2bbl with a BBD 2bbl on it, but what I mention above is close to how our 400 2bbl is, with the Holley 2210 2bbl. You should have the EGR-capable 2245 series carb. Hope this might help, CBODY67

    Choke settings

...Prototyped on our '66 Newport 383 2bbl Stromberg WWC3-263, in the earlier 1970s. Then used the procedure on the '72 Newport Royal 400 Holley 2210 2bbl, and later cars I own to great result. Including electric choke Holleys on non-Chrysler applications. Key thing is that once the car...

Hesitation when first putting foot on gas.

On the Holley 2210/2245 and Stromberg WWC carbs, when the air horn warps due to air cleaner top over-torque, it also kills the vac signal to the power valve to keep it closed. Therefore, "10mpg no matter what" happens. Plus, as that is also the rear upper seal on the float bowl, when the choke...

    ‘72 400 Jet Size

Hi all Can anyone help me with the main jet size for a 1972 400 2 Barrel Carb? I believe this is a Holley 2210? Thanks in advance.

    WANTED Stromberg WWC 3-262 carb

Thank you! I appreciate your input. If I change to a 4bbl it’s a moot point, but for now I just want something that can be rebuilt and tuned, as what I have now is in poor shape.
