Wanted Advice On 383 Big Block

Yes I’d get a little puff of blue smoke but that’s all not much at all. It’s fresh gas only drained the tank! No only 2 or 3 plugs Once I give it a good run and drive and use it as you would expect it’s fine! I just need to figure out the blow by that has now caused it to puke oil out from places!

    Parking Brake 62 Chrysler Newport

You will need to remove the E-Brake drum from the rear of the transmission. Then remove the E Brake shoes, there should be a snap ring that holds the cable to the backing plate. Dave

Wanted Advice On 383 Big Block

So it sits for a couple days and fires up you get blue smoke for a minute ? valve seals. Is every plug same oil fouled? Might want to run a hotter plug. A few extra cranks after a week is no big deal. How old is the gas? You have done timing correct ?

By code you should be able to match the original color. Most paint suppliers have a camera where they can read the color and decipher the formula to mix the paint.

    1965 Newport Paint

Continuation of some discussion on another thread, but this is paint specific. I have spent a bit of time going through posts (yes, also the paint sticky), and there is a lot of information, but not a lot of DO THIS, or DONT DO THIS, a lot of "it depends". So, my case.... My car is originally...

    Greetings, various restoration issues

The rainy weather that spawned all this trouble has stopped for a while and we've gotten some nice dry days, I've been airing the car out and now it is nice and dry in there. Which is to say, I have not had the opportunity to see if my repairs have staunched the seepage but next time it rains...
