Just make sure the electronic regulator has a solid ground to the firewall. A poor ground will cause overcharging and could cause damage or an electrical fire.
Just went thru this on my '69 - ended up using/finding a fully electronic one at Classic Industries. Pricey but so far so good! (parked for winter

Yes I’d get a little puff of blue smoke but that’s all not much at all.
It’s fresh gas only drained the tank!
No only 2 or 3 plugs
Once I give it a good run and drive and use it as you would expect it’s fine!
I just need to figure out the blow by that has now caused it to puke oil out from places!
You will need to remove the E-Brake drum from the rear of the transmission. Then remove the E Brake shoes, there should be a snap ring that holds the cable to the backing plate.

So it sits for a couple days and fires up you get blue smoke for a minute ? valve seals. Is every plug same oil fouled? Might want to run a hotter plug. A few extra cranks after a week is no big deal. How old is the gas? You have done timing correct ?
AM/FM with rare cassette plug attachment.
Not sure what it’s out of?
