    What is this? RV2 compressor.

Is a Sanden compressor the same as a Sankyo? If so I'd recommend it. I had this on my Mirada and it worked great, and in my mind is superior due to it's smaller size, lighter weight, and simplicity of design.

(Help!) Fluids and maintenance on my 67 Newport!

Yeah, what's up with not using the 50/50 premix? I thought it was the same as the regular antifreeze except, of course, "premixed". This is news to me. My mechanic used some kind of yellow antifreeze in my '68 300. I don't know what all the different colors mean. By the way that '68 Newport...

    Oil

Don't risk it, just use oil that's made for hot rods and classics, like Amsoil.

1968 Chrysler battery tray, what is this bracket?

It says this is used on a 1968 Chrysler C-body battery tray, but my car didn't have this. Is this used on a '68? If so, I'm not sure where/how it attaches. Thanks for any help.

'65 and '67 instrument clusters are completely different.

    Spark plug confusion.

The plug on the left is definitely not the right one, its threads are too long. I think that type is used in a slant six or small-block. The plugs are supposed to be resistor plugs so I would say the one on the right is correct. I don't think the difference between the 12 and 13 is very...

    correct wipers

I feel your pain. My solution was to get the original stainless steel wiper blades from an old junked car then find NOS refills. It took a lot of time and effort. By the way, I think the original MoPar wiper blades were made by Anco not Trico (CMIIW) so maybe you would have better luck...

Unsure of how to move forward with 81 EFI Imperial

I had a 1980 Mirada and I really liked it. It was reliable and comfortable and handled really well (with some small upgrades). It looked great, too, with aluminum racing wheels. The only thing I really hated about that car was the incredible lack of power. 225 /6 was not enough engine for a...

    Chrome plating in eastern Pennsylvania

I'm looking for someone to re-chrome bumpers and possibly do other metal trim work. I was hoping to find a good place within driving distance. I've found these two places: Librandi's in Middletown, PA and Frankford Plating in Philadelphia. Wondering if anyone has any experience with either...

    400 vs 440 in a 76-78 New Yorker - noticeable difference?

I just did a quick google search for the specs. 440: 320 ft-lb of torque @ 2000 rpm 400: 305 ft-lb of torque @ 3200 rpm I think most people would notice a difference if that is accurate specs.

what is best oil to use on 1978 Chrysler with 400 engine?

I used to use VR-1, it's got all the zinc you need (better off not adding any additives to it). But, being a racing oil, it's not designed to be left in your car for extended periods of time and does not have the ideal amount of detergents and corrosion protection for engines that are driven...

what is best oil to use on 1978 Chrysler with 400 engine?

I've done a bit of research and I'd say that the best oil for any of these engines with flat tappet cams is Amsoil classic and hot rod oil. (Amsoil Z-rod).

Filled my rebuilt engine with 6 quarts including filter and dipstick says 1 qt low.

I don't think the fact that it's been rebuilt would have any bearing on the oil level, unless the oil pan or dipstick have been changed.

I see nothing in FSM on the door stops and how they work?

I'm thinking of something later. I'm thinking of the plate with the waves on it that is pulled against a roller by a spring. A '57 might be different.

Probably it's the spring that's broken.
