1966 IMPERIAL | WOOD INTERIOR TRIM (DASH & DOOR PANELS)

I’ve always thought the wood trim in the 1966 Imperial was such a nice touch, especially for that classic luxury feel. From what I’ve seen, the wood interior in these cars can hold up pretty well, but over time, it might need some TLC.

(First car) 77 Newport Odometer and Aftermarket Choke

Thank you! I will definitely look. I mean I have a second speedometer dash. Would the trip stopping completely stop the entire system? Causing I was messing with the other one trying to understand it. And it seemed like they were connected.

Transmission cooler lines mismatch from inline tube.

I have ordered two sets from Inline Tube for 69 Polaras, both matched and fit correctly. The 69s hug the block. I'm thinking somebody modified your line as it is nearly impossible to get in after the fact. Alan

Alternator question on a 69 Newport regarding bolts / torque specs

I'll give that a watch tonight, thank you. I appreciate the help. The previous owner took the AC compressor out, went to a single V belt pully on the alternator, I think he tried to eliminate as much wiring as possible. The Radio works but the horn doesn't...lol

(First car) 77 Newport Odometer and Aftermarket Choke

If the speedometer works, that means the cable and transmission gear are intact and working. That means the problem is in the speedometer head somewhere. It may be the easiest to find another and replace the entire unit. A picture of the choke will help a lot. Why do you want to disconnect?

(First car) 77 Newport Odometer and Aftermarket Choke

As my first car, I'm kinda clueless. The odometer doesn't work, nor does the trip. The speedometer works. So I pulled it out, now when I check for the malfunction, what direction do I turn it? Forward of reverse? Now I'm not too into how all the certain criteria and nuances with Newports...

Alternator question on a 69 Newport regarding bolts / torque specs

If this described by-pass is in place without any other modifications to the remainder of the stock under-dash wiring, it defeats all stock circuit protection in the event of a short in any part of the unfused factory circuits.
