'48 Crown Imp Limo - hyd. windows line leak and oil pressure line leak

You might want to contact www.imperialclub.com they have a lot of useful information. You can pose a query on the repair forum. '48 Crown Imp Limo - hyd. windows line leak and oil pressure line leak

I would take the leaking power window line to a good hydraulic shop and have a new one fabricated, probably would want to do all of them while you are at it as that system was prone to leaks even when relatively new. You can probably have the other line fabricated on the engine as well if it is...

    A/C Compressor RPM Limit?

RV2 compressor will probably no be able to handle 5000 RPMS. They do not do well on R-134a to start with and adding extra RPMs is a self destruct waiting to happen. Some cop cars with the pursuit option had an extra toggle switch to disengage the compressor for extended full throttle...

Paper water pump and timing cover gaskets: RTV sealant or nothing?

Some of the modern paper gaskets by Fel-Pro are blue in color, those have a peel off strip with adhesive. You usually would apply that style without sealant. My self, I use Permatex hi-tack with good results. Dave

    Caliper not releasing

You have done the test for a locked caliper, popping the bleed screw releases pressure to the system and eliminates a bad brake hose or brake line as the cause of the lock up. There is a problem with the internals of the caliper. Dave

    Caliper not releasing

Cardone is famous for producing defective parts and mis-boxing the parts, the caliper may have the internal O-Ring twisted which will cause the caliper to bind up. A warped caliper casting or an out of round caliper piston will do the same. Rock auto has the rebuilt calipers...

    Caliper not releasing

These tend to be very poor quality, my vote is that they are defective calipers, take them back for a refund. Dave

Newbie Mopar Owner - Fury III Automatic Transmission Slipping?

Start by checking the transmission oil level. Put the car in neutral with the park brake on and a wheel chock in place. Start the car and check the oil level for the transmission. It should read full with the car running. Note the condition of the oil, is it clear? Does the oil look dark...

    Caliper not releasing

Have you checked the wheel bearings? Cars that sit for extended periods sometimes develop rust on the wheel bearings which can cause them to bind up. Dave

    Caliper not releasing

If you have also replaced the master cylinder, there is a travel rod adjustment that may be improperly set too long, that will cause the caliper to stay deployed. Dave
