    Sending unit swap for EFI

Good morning fellow C body people. I am going to put the Sniper Fuel injection on my Monaco. When I did this to my 66 Polara I had to drill a hole in the tank for the return line. I'm trying not to do that this time by seeing if anyone on here has any information on a 3/8 supply sending unit...

    Power steering question

Thanks you for your input. I did mention in my first post question that it is a federal pump. No worries, I appreciate all the help. It is no longer leaking but I still have the hardness while in a parking lot. I'm sure I adjusted the pump tension correctly but I will do it again just to make sure.

    Power steering question

The person that I bought the pump from said to use ATF, so I wanted to stay in there guidelines in case of a warranty issue. I did some further research on different Chrysler forums about the fluid and more than once Prestone was recommended. Pulley size has not changed. I had this issue on a 66...

    Power steering question

Question. I have replaced my power steering pump with a correct federal pump recently and I'm having difficulty with steering resistance in a parking lot situation. It has the original steering box, not sure if I'm getting some of that resistance from it or not. High pressure line is also new...

    MSD troubles

The MSD box has a direct 12 volt connection from the battery to run it and another tied to the ignition for start up.

    MSD troubles

Okay my fellow c body friends. I have ran an MSD ignition on my 68 383 Monaco for 10 years or more and it has ran fine. I just put a 496 stroker kit in it and it's all hooked up but no juice at the coil. The MSD box has power going in and it also pulses. So the distributor is talking to it but...

Ported and or extrude honed HP exhaust manifolds

Get with Schumacher mid range headers ceramic coated. I have mine on order. Heard they built a good product. I just got my 383 back from the machine shop. 496 stroker kit from 440 Source. I hope it does well. Big Block Mopar Tri-Y Under Chassis Headers

    727 Trans fluid

Quick question gentleman. I had my 1968 727 Torgueflight rebuilt, soft parts only everything else was in awesome shape. I am going with a different converter stall speed due upgrade on the engine. So the trans is empty and so is the converter. What is the amount of fluid necessary to assure...

    Engine build

I'm not looking to do any competition racing with it. They are small but to go bigger I would have to get different wheels with offset. Not really interested in doing that now. But you're right. To get the power completely down to the ground I would go bigger.

I want to thank all you guys that responded, makes it easier to move forward. Also I will be needing a new oil pan and pick up. I know our c bodies are different underneath. Anyone have a suggestion on a good pan?

    Engine build

Thank you gentlemen. This confirms what I needed. I had built a 440 for another Mopar I had. Went 30 over with flat tops, same upper end, compression was real close to the same. Didn't have any issues with the 93 octane no ethanol gas. I occasionally ran a octane booster. I was on the fence with...

    Engine build

Hello gentlemen, I've decided to redo the 68 Monaco 383, number match, with the 496 440 Source .30 over, running the dish pistons, stroker kit and Edlebrock 2086 upper end kit. Should have 10.4 compression with this with an 84cc combustion chamber. Also running 3.23 sure grip. 750 cfm Holley...

    Rod bearings

Thank you all for your answers. I have looked into the 440 Source stroker kits. I have decided to pull the motor and take it to the machine shop and have them go through it to see what they think and go from there. I really appreciate your guidance and help.

    Rod bearings

Yes I did. While the pan was off the first time I removed the pick up tube and there was some black crystallized something along with bearing material. I was thinking it was normal from being a 1968 383 that had never been cracked. I replaced the lifters first thinking that was the noise, but it...
