    Possible skirt stay pin replacement?

I came across these in the packaging of a stackable shoe/shelf storage unit I bought in Walmart. Looks about right, I can grind down and paint to fit. Essentially it's the bottom pin that you screw into the upper unit when you stack them up. All I need are some lock nuts from Ace Hardware and...

Plugs don't foul on their own. Why did they foul? Are they covered with black soot, indicating engine running rich? Are the covered with oil, indicating oil leaking by the valves or piston rings? If the car was running OK after the carb rebuild, I would look at the ignition. You said, you looked...

NOT MINE Two 1971 L-code Chrysler Newport 2dr hardtops in Phoenix, AZ

Never mind the number plates, how about not storing all that crap on the cars, or at least take it off before taking pics ffs.

    Transmission problems

Is the shop going to rebuild the 727? What experience do you or your friends have with them? Reputation? I ask these questoins, because a lot of shops have no clue when it comes to older cars. What is the estimated charge to rebuild?

Also, the ignition is original, points, etc. Did check cap looked decent. Don't think it's crossed plug wires, car was fine until recently. Carb rebuilt by a specialist, I'd recommend to anyone. Hoping it's just the plugs. I do drive it easy and it tends to get around town type of drives...

Many thanks everyone ! I pulled a couple plugs, really fouled out. Going to get new ones and possibly change the coil. The motor has not been rebuilt. Unknown miles but original to the car. Doesn't use oil, runs well considering it was a junkyard escapee. Gas reasonably fresh

    Trans Fluid drain plug leaking

Before you,do anything clean the pan rail and make sure it's the drain plug that's leaking. Don't make this any harder than it has to be. They have had drain plugs in every oil pan for how many years now? It's a reliable system, don't overtight. The plug amd smash aor crack the gasket/washer...

Loving life! 2 years since my 67 Imperial GM full-size Disc Brake upgrade!

Yes, the GM D52 caliper is a fabulous thing, especially its flat-plate mounting. Did you find it an easy combination to make? In my dabbling, I'm finding that the rotor hat-heights and rotor thickness really affect how thick the adapter plate is, or if it will even fit. But I'm trying to fit...

    Caliper beyond repair?

Be aware that junkyards aren't always good at keeping their inventory correctly synced on Car-part. I've had a number of instances where I call the JY and they don't have the part, and the car in the yard is long-since crushed. All I'm saying is - don't get too excited by what hte website shows.

    Caliper beyond repair?

B&E-body cars are the donors for our caliper rebuilds. Those pistons/seals are same as C-body and are available new.

    Will it work? Lol

My initial premise about 2 cars together was to make the element of competition. The more I think about it, if you have 2 near-identical cars, you actually only need 1 driver. Do multiple stops in each car, measure the distances and compare. Or even better - do a booster swap in the same car to...

One time I got a partial tank of flaky gas. Had to use the accel pedal to keep it idling at a stop light. Got worse. Exhaust had a hollow sound to it. After I figured out what it was, I just drove enough to get the flaky gas used and a new batch in the tank. End of issue. There are some...
