    1966 Chrysler Radiator Replacement Options??

It would be helpful to know where you are located. I am not a fan of aluminum radiators. Our C Bodies require the use of old style green coolant as the long life coolants are not compatible with the brass heater cores and will cause them to leak. The green coolant, after a few years will...

Who knew homedepot sold auto parts? (beware bolts in GMB U-joint strap kit)

ALWAYS check the bolt length against the "hole depth", so that the bottom is not reached before the item is secured as it needs to be. Resulting in a false torque reading in the process when the bolt bottoms-out rather than getting tighter. CBODY67

Who knew homedepot sold auto parts? (beware bolts in GMB U-joint strap kit)

GMB is generally junk parts, I avoid them. Yes they HD and Lowes sells auto parts. When I look up something there many show up not available that I look up.

    1966 Chrysler Radiator Replacement Options??

Looking for a drop in or easily modified radiator to fit my car! I had been looking at aluminum radiators but no luck. I don’t have an original to recore and not going to attempt to reuse this crappy one in the car. Plus, nobody does radiators anywhere close to here anymore. Don’t want to spend...

FWIW, concerning thread length or really the better term is thread engagement length. The rule of thumb for steel fasteners is 1 to 1 1/2 length. So with a 1/4" bolt, you want a minimum of 1/4" and if you multiply that by 1.5 you end up with 3/8" thread engagement. For other materials, it may...

    power steering pump belt tension

That belt tensioning pulley was one of the most ingenious power steering mounts ever devised! With less basic tension (which many didn't understand!!), the power steering belts lasted "forever" and did not squeal under load. As Ford systems hissed and GM belts squalled under similar...

NOT MINE 1967 Dodge Monaco Convertible 383 $17k CAD / $12k USD Sarnia ON

At first blush, I thought this was a lot of car for $12K USD. Then I saw the replacement C2C trunk floor. Easy to spot with no plugs in the floor. The rear seat looks like it's just sitting in place and those seats need some love. Paint is old, possibly it could be buffed to look better, but...

Thought i saw a post once about keeping the belt tension on power steering pump. Was there a bushing that should be in there to help keep belt tight. If so where can i get them. Thanks
