I yanked the heater hoses off my 74 monaco (no AC, 400ci engine) to replace them. Now I am unsure which hose goes where. I have a top and bottom fitting on the firewall. And on the engine I have one thats closer to the alternator than the other. There's no heater control valve in the...

Just an update to close this little saga. Changed alternator (unrelated to hesitation). Changed vacuum advance on distrib. This explains why I had 20+ advance at idle bexause the vac advance was completely stuck. And I fixed the horn, but would like to add a bridge. Runs like a dream now...

So it's driving great but the alternator (or regulator) quit on me halfway to my destination tonight... fortunately my friends have a charger so I should be able to get home later. It's much too cold to troubleshoot.
