    Thanks all. You got me pointed in the right direction. Nationalmoparts is close to me and has used backing plates. So I’m just going to replace everything back to original 2” set up. Great group here and really helped me out. James.

    I’m beginning to suspect the backing plate is for a 2-1/2”. Does anyone know how to tell which backing plate I have and if the 2” backing plate is available.

    These are the only photos I have right now. It needs paint but I don’t think it was ever driven in the winter it’s entire life.

    FURYGT. The fronts I measured the material width. Now that you mention it, that might be smaller than the shoe itself. I’ll recheck and proably there 2-3/4” because they ride perfectly in the middle of the drum. The rear drum fits perfectly on the axle. It’s just offset so the drum doesn’t...

    I have a 1967 VIP Fury. The front brakes are 11 x 2-1/2” and I can’t seem to find shoes and mostly drums in that size. New drums I can only find from Bendix and Napa are for 2-3/4 or 3” size for a very expensive price. Question, Will the 3” shoes and drums fit, if I just replace those parts...
